The Storytellhers are Rowan Grace Evans and Stephanie Drax, a duo of journalists and branding experts. We believe in the power of storytelling – sharing thoughts, emotions and plans with one another in narrative form is our natural currency. We write about travel & lifestyle, health & careers and share our take on stories that mean something to women today. Here, we introduce powerful female voices – other Storytellhers – that we’ve encountered personally and professionally. We’re lucky enough to work with some of the world’s most exciting businesses & brands, experiencing first-hand the products and places that we think will get you talking. We hope you enjoy our stories, and would love to hear from anyone with their own tale to tell.

Hello, We Are Storytellhers

Stephanie Drax

Rowan Evans

On paper, Stephanie is a Canadian/Austrian mash-up, but she was raised mostly in London. Now a freelance writer and editor specialising in travel, culture and lifestyle, Stephanie’s written for many of the UK’s glossies and broadsheets, including Vanity Fair, Porter, Condé Nast Traveller, House & Garden, the Sunday Telegraph, the Financial Times and Canada’s Globe & Mail. She edits and writes for several superyacht and private jet magazines, is the author of A Hedonist’s Guide to Toronto (part of Hg2, the leading luxury guidebook series) and also works as a brand consultant.

She’s the founder and producer of VisionAir Films, a video content company that makes travel, cultural and lifestyle films. VisionAir City Guides have been carried on 15 airlines and counting, including British Airways, American Airlines, Aer Lingus and Singapore Airlines, and her lifestyle videos have featured on The Guardian and Telegraph websites. Now a mum to two small boys, she’s also trying to get her toddler to eat vegetables.

Rowan has had a long career in the media, on both sides of the fence. She started out as a broadcast journalist and producer for the BBC, spending 6 years working across a range of TV and Radio shows, including Newsround, Panorama, and The Report. Her love of journalism, combined with a passion for technology, led her to branch out into digital PR, where she has worked with a slew of household name brands. From Nespresso to ghd, Rowan has been responsible for major brand marketing strategies, enabling brands to tell their stories across mainstream and digital media.

Rowan is an entrepreneur at heart, and loves working with charities, start ups and contender brands, helping them find their unique narrative in an increasingly crowded market place. From promoting women in business to wellness tech, Rowan finds this work super rewarding and a fantastic creative outlet. When she isn’t working, Rowan can be found chasing her 2 year old daughter around the garden of her Surrey home.
